Loud, slow inhale. Long, long exhale.

Then silence until you wonder if the next breath will happen by itself.
Sounds like grief, like depression. Optimistically, it could be the sound of yoga, self-care, mindfulness… Realistically, this time, it’s the first one.

Dug into this old album art, from Rage Against the Machine’s 2nd album.
The original art had an orange star, which I took advantage of.

Copy/pasted off wikipedia:
According to MTV News, “The title ‘Evil Empire’ is taken from what Rage Against The Machine see as Ronald Reagan‘s slander of the Soviet Union in the eighties, which the band feels could just as easily apply to the United States.”[7]
— Zack de la Rocha[8]

Some aspects of art can be cruel to the artist. Without AI involved, I would’ve had to spend probably an hour just drawing in this offensively fake comb-over. How do you even draw something that looks fake in real life? Instead, I got to toss half a dozen prompts into photoshop’s AI and then get right into oranging up this boys face. Which was a pleasure.

I think I’m with 60-70 million people in wanting to rage against something today. ‘The Machine’ sounds like a fair target. I’m trying to tamp down the drive to blame any particular voting blocs. We’ll all need to make sure we work better together next time.

I do not like this man. And knowing he’ll be a part of my life structure for 4 more years is giving me enough anxious energy to make me create something, write about it, and post it. Something I haven’t done since…
January. Woof. Well, good for me. Anxious energy needn’t go to waste.
I’ve done a ton of laundry today.
Maybe tomorrow I’ll do this again. That’d be pretty jarring. And I am jarred.
